Sources from the Australian government have confirmed that a group of IS-affiliated individuals, including women and children, will arrive in Australia tomorrow. This group will be divided into two teams, with one landing in Sydney via Qantas Flight 908 and the other in Melbourne via Qantas Flight 904. The delegation consists of 13 members, including four Australian women and their nine children.

The authorities had repatriated these individuals from the Al-Roj camp in Syria last week. Reports suggest that some of these women may be arrested immediately upon arrival in Australia. However, the Australian Federal Police have clarified that while certain individuals from this group will face arrest and legal proceedings, the exact number and timing remain undisclosed. A spokesperson for the Australian Federal Police stated, "We cannot specify how many or when arrests will occur, but legal action will be taken against those involved."

The government has also announced plans to provide mental health therapy and training for social integration to the children in this group. However, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has made it clear that the government will not extend any financial or other forms of assistance to these individuals. He emphasized that these individuals had knowingly joined a dangerous terrorist organization and subjected their children to abnormal circumstances.

Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke added that those who have committed crimes will face the full force of the law. He also revealed that law enforcement agencies and intelligence units have been preparing for their return since 2014 and that the government has long-term plans in place to manage their repatriation.

The repatriation of these individuals has sparked debates about national security and the ethical responsibilities of the government towards those who voluntarily joined extremist groups abroad.
