St Louis: Indian classical dancer shot dead in US Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi dancer Amarnath Shosh was killed. He went for a walk in the evening when unknown persons fired at him without any provocation. The tragic incident took place in St. Louis, Missouri.
Amarnath was shot multiple times. A friend of Amarnath Ghosh informed that the incident took place on Tuesday evening. They informed that no information about the motive of the murder and the culprits is yet available. The friend says that he is a native of Kolkata and has no relatives since his mother died three years ago.
Born and brought up in Kolkata, Amarnath was an alumnus of Kalakshetra College of Fine Arts, Chennai. He was studying Master of Fine Arts in St. Louis, USA.
