Emergency Door Incident: Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-9 Max

Washington: The plane was brought back immediately after the door opened in the sky after take off. The incident took place on an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-9 Max aircraft. Flight AS 1282, which was en route from Portland to Ontario, California, had its center door open minutes after takeoff.

A video of the incident captured by the passengers has also been released. The footage shows the plane’s door fully open and passengers preparing for an emergency landing. There were 171 passengers and six crew on board. No one is in danger.

Alaska Airlines said the plane landed safely at the Portland airport and is investigating what happened. The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board also noted that an investigation is underway.

Flight Trader 24, a real-time aircraft movement monitor, said in a post on social media that the plane was at a maximum altitude of 16,325 feet at the time of the incident and flew back to Portland after realizing the accident.
