India and Russia have cemented their diplomatic relationship, celebrating 78 years of association. Russia recently reiterated its support for India's candidacy for a permanent UNSC seat. This came amidst the India-Russia joint working group meeting on cooperation against counter-terrorism in Moscow.

Both countries shared their perspectives on the developments in the region and the world and on matters relating to the UNSC, including its reform.
