Israel and Palestine have made strides in resolving their issues with a swap deal of prisoners. Amal Abu al-Quarqur and other Palestinian detainees were set free of Israeli prisons in exchange of Israeli captives detained in Gaza.
After months of sleepless negotiations and deliberation by several parties, the deal was triumphed. The United States of America has been approached greatly in solving the matter. The negotiations have been molded through the hands of Former American President Donald Trump along with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Palestinians were catering to life imprisonment and were let out along with a few other prisoners under the agreement. The further freed detainees where treated as Heros in Gaza with thousands attending festivities for their welcome.
Previously taken captive Israeli hostages are back with their loved ones after several months of intensive holding, bringing to an end to their long-lived suffering.
Even though there has been significant progress made, like the swap deal, those bare little in comparison to the broader challenges, making the move bilateral agreement weak. The resolution is deep rooted with the Israeli-Palestine conflict, which complicates and stubbornly extends the work needed to be done.
Nonetheless, the overwhelming optimism overshadowing the hostages from either side is propelling, and alongside both parties putting in active efforts, the hope for a better future is striking. ¹
