India's 2025 Budget: Empowering Citizens and Paving the Way for Development

2025 Budget: A Step Towards Empowering India

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the 2025 Union Budget. Prime Minister Narendra Modi called the budget "The People's Budget." He reiterated that the budget will promote savings and investment as well, driving the country to achieve its aim of becoming a developed nation. The Prime Minister shared a video message after the finance minister had presented the budget speech.

This year's budget focuses on increasing savings among the people. Individuals with an annual income up to ₹12 lakh have been exempted from income tax and tax reductions have been made in various income groups. These are expected to make a huge impact on the middle class, giving new opportunities for young job seekers.

Modi referred to the 2025 budget as one of the greatest moments in the development journey of India, while stating that it meets the requirements of ordinary people and ensures a holistic growth pattern. He underlined that it would bring great changes, primarily by opening doors for young generations to lead the growth of the nation. Industrial status to shipbuilding is one of the key changes that will induce large-scale production of ships in the country and create significant employment opportunities. Tourism is yet another sector which is going to undergo a sea change due to the budget. Recognition of the gig workers, through the cards, and their health insurance is something the government is committed to. The agriculture sector and the rural economy, on the whole, are set for a revolution with the raising of the loan limit under Kisan Credit Card to ₹5 lakh.

The Prime Minister pointed out how the previous budgets were basically attempting to fill government coffers and said this is a budget which focuses on enriching people's pockets. This budget aims at boosting savings, thereby involving the people more actively in the development of the nation.
