Beyoncé Makes History at 2025 Grammy Awards with Major Wins

Beyoncé has become the first African-American artist to receive the coveted Album of the Year honor at the 2025 Grammy Awards, thanks to her *Cowboy Carter* album. This has been the first-ever achievement for the American singer in this category. Although she had been nominated ten times for the honor, she had never succeeded, which becomes a breakthrough for an African-American artist. Beyoncé's *Cowboy Carter* won other major awards, including Best Country Album, Best Country Duo/Group Performance, and Best Country Song.

She also took home Best Rap Performance with Kendrick Lamar for his song *Not Like Us*, as well as Song of the Year and Best Music Video. All these wins place her in a strong position as a musical force.

Another exciting winner that night was *Triveni*, the Indian-American musician and entrepreneur Chandrika Tandon's album. This was a collaborative piece with various global artists that won Best New Age Album. An evening full of performances by other notable figures like Sabrina Carpenter and Shakira also went underway.

Of course, it was not all smooth and white. Drama boiled up when the wife of Kanye West, Bianca Sensori, made a visibly controversial outfit appearance on the ceremony. She snapped pictures with the couple but was reportedly escorted out of the event afterwards. Even so, it was still a happening. Evening was full of high energy and great performances within most genres.
