A young woman in China has recently become a topic of conversation on social media after making a bold career change. Yang Yangshi, a former flight attendant, left her corporate job to start a pig farm, a decision that has turned out to be quite profitable.
After spending five years working as a flight attendant with Shanghai Airlines, Yang became increasingly aware that her parents had been using borrowed money to fund her personal expenses. This realization came to light later on, sparking a desire to make a change in her life. In October 2022, Yang's mother required multiple surgeries, prompting Yang to quit her job, return home, and spend time caring for her mother.
In April 2023, after several months of being back home, Yang took over a relative's pig farm. The decision to leave her flight attendant career behind was not in vain, as her new venture, along with the stories of her life on the farm, gained attention on social media. In a short amount of time, Yang accumulated 1.2 million followers.
Despite facing some setbacks, including a serious leg injury, Yang remained determined and pressed on with her new life. Today, through her pig farming business and social media presence, she has increased her earnings significantly, going from a monthly salary of 32,000 rupees to approximately 23 lakh rupees. Looking to the future, Yang has aspirations to expand her farm and even open a hotel.
This story highlights how Yang's decision to leave her old career has led her to find success and fulfillment in an entirely new industry.
