Toyota has re-entered the compact SUV segment with the Urban Cruiser Taysor. The Toyota Urban Cruiser is a rebranded version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronts. Toyota is launching the Urban Cruiser Tizer in 12 models. Maruti Suzuki has 14 models in the Fronz range. There is also a difference between the two SUVs in terms of price. Toyota models are generally priced higher than Maruti Suzuki, as seen with the Baleno-Glanza and Innova Hicross-Invicto models from Toyota-Maruti Suzuki. Toyota Tizer models with the 1.2 petrol engine are on average Rs 22,000-25,000 more than similar Maruti Fronts models. Meanwhile, in the turbo petrol variants, the models of both the companies come at the same price.

Design
The Urban Cruiser Tizer has more design similarities than differences with the Maruti Suzuki Fronts. The main difference of the Tizer is the front grill. This grill is designed in the shape of a beehive. There is a difference between the front bumper and the Tizer and the fronts. The LED DRLs at the front of the teaser follow a linear design while at the fronts, it is three cubes. The rear tail lights are also different. Toyota has also given the Tysor new 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
Tysor comes in colors like Cave White, Enticing Silver, Sporting Red, Lucent Orange and Gaming Grey. The fronds come in Nexa Blue, Arctic White, Splendid Silver, Grandor Grey, Earthen Brown, Opulent Red and Bluish Black. Both the SUVs also offer dual-tone options on the turbo versions.
Features
In terms of internal features, there are no major changes on the front and rear. Both vehicles have a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment screen with support for Android Auto and Apple Car Play. The list of features goes on like automatic climate control, 360 degree camera, heads up display and wireless charger. Safety features include six airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Hold Assist, ABS with EBD and ISOFIX child seat system.
Powertrain
The Toyota Urban Cruiser Tizer and Maruti Suzuki Fronts are powered by a 90 hp, four-cylinder, 1.2-litre petrol engine. There is also a 100 hp, three-cylinder turbo petrol, 1.0 liter engine option. The 1.2 liter engine comes with 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission options. The 1.0-litre engine comes with 5-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic options. The CNG model also comes with a 1.2-litre, NA petrol engine.
