Skoda's flagship sedan Superb, which has been away from the Indian roads for over a year, is back. If previously the Superb for India was prepared in India, this time the Superb will be sold in India entirely manufactured abroad. Available in only one variant, this vehicle is priced at Rs 54 lakh ex-showroom in India.
The Laurin and Clement variant, which is a high-end variant of the Superb, will arrive in India. In the initial phase, only 100 units of this vehicle will be imported into India. This is the fourth generation model of Superb. This vehicle, which was launched in India only now, was launched in the global markets in November 2023. It is reported that the third generation model was priced at Rs 34 lakh in India.
The Superb has brought about an unprecedented generational change in design. The new model has a similar design to the previous generation model. The two other changes that have been made to the Superb are 18-inch alloy wheels with a new design and two exterior colors – Rosso Brunello and Water World Green. Other features and design on the exterior are similar to the previous generation.
The Superb is back in the Indian market with only one engine option in one variant. The heart of this vehicle is the 2.0 liter TSI turbo petrol engine. It makes 187 bhp of power and 320 Nm of torque. The transmission in this vehicle is a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox. With a top speed of 239 kmph, this vehicle will reach 100 kmph in 7.7 seconds.
The Laurin and Clement (L&K) variant, the top variant of Skoda vehicles, has been introduced in India. Being a high-end version, this vehicle is necessarily feature-rich. LED LED headlights with cornering function. Foglamps etc. will be the replacements for the exterior. The Superb is also fitted with 18-inch Stratos alloy wheels.
The interior of the Superb is also rich in features. A highlight is the virtual cockpit. It also gets an eight-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Interior features include electrically adjustable and ventilated front seats, massage driver's seat, 11-speaker music system, digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control and wireless charging.
