Ending the wait, Ather released the popular model 'Rista'. Ether has launched Rista with the aim of improving the relationship with common travelers. The Rista also has impressive features like traction control, 56 liters of storage and wide seats. Released in three models, the Rista is priced between Rs 1.10 lakh and Rs 1.45 lakh.
Compared to the sporty 450 series vehicles, the Ristak has a boxy design. The LED headlight is square like that of the TVS iCube. With longer and wider seats than the 450 series vehicles, the Rista is clearly aimed at family customers. These seats ensure that two people can travel comfortably. The rear tail lap has a slimmer shape. The indicators are attached to the headlight.
Rista's back is broad and short. This makes it easier for passengers to get in and out of the back seat. Seat height 780mm. Ground clearance 165mm. The company claims that the changes made to the chassis will also provide more balance at low speeds. The Rista weighs just 8kg more (119kg) than the leaner Aether 450X.
Rista has two variants namely S and Z. While the S only has a 2.9kWh battery pack, the Z model is available with 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh batteries. Aether offers a range of 105 km with the 2.9kWh pack and 125 km with the 3.7kWh battery pack. Rista has a maximum speed of 80 kmph with a water widening capacity of up to 400mm.
Under seat storage is 34 litres. Adding the 22 liters of storage up front increases this to 56 litres. Other devices can also be charged using the multi-purpose charger under the seat. Rista is India's first electric scooter with traction control system.
The Rista S has the same Deep View LCD dash as the Aether 450S. The top variant Z offers a TFT dash on the 450X. Two riding modes, Zip for more range and SmartEco for better performance. Rista also features reverse, hill hold and magic twist.
