Oldest Man in the World, Juan Vicenre Perez Mora, Dies at 114

Caracas (Venezuela): Juan Vicenre Perez Mora, who entered the Guinness World Record 2022 as the oldest man in the world, has passed away. He died yesterday at the age of 114. Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro officially announced the death on social media.

Perez Mora became the Guinness World Record holder on February 4, 2022 at the age of 112 years and 253 days. Mora holds the record for being the oldest person alive.

He is the father of 11 children and as of 2022, he has 41 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and they have 12 children.

Pérez Mora was born on May 27, 1909, in the town of El Cobre in the Andean state of Tachira, the ninth of 10 children of farmer Tio Vicenre. He worked in agriculture along with his father and brothers. He also served as an officer empowered to settle agrarian and family disputes.
