New York: The Israeli army has killed 9,000 women in Gaza in the five months since the start of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the UN has said. 37 mothers and 63 women are killed every day, according to UN Women X, an organization that works for gender equality and the advancement of women. There is a war on women. Mothers are killed, leaving children unprotected and isolated.
Half or less of what was consumed before the war began is now consumed. Meanwhile, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said the death toll in Gaza had risen to 30,228. Four out of five women in Gaza (84 percent) indicated that they had to skip meals in the past week. In 95 percent of cases, mothers skip one of their early meals to feed their children.
Gaza's entire population of 2.3 million will face severe food insecurity within weeks. Nine out of 10 women (87 percent) find it harder to get food than men, the report said. Unless there is an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, more people will die in the coming days. The report also called for an end to the killing, bombing and destruction of essential infrastructure in Gaza.
