Tesla Roadster: Fusion of Elon Musk's SpaceX Tech

Tesla Roadster

The Tesla Roadster will integrate a technology package from Elon Musk's SpaceX rockets.

Elon Musk has dropped some details about the upcoming Tesla Roadster. The first thing he boasted about during an interview on The Don Lemon Show is that it will be the first time the brand explores a vehicle category that has never existed before.

The CEO of Tesla has gone one step further in the design of his cars and will combine the Roadster with SpaceX rocket technology to create a model never seen before. “It's not even really a car, I don't think anyone will ever make something like the Roadster we're going to create,” he says.

Elon Musk does not usually reveal too much information ahead of time, so the technical specifications of this Tesla with “rocket technology” are still unknown. At the moment it is known that the car will be equipped with a “SpaceX package” that includes 10 small rocket boosters that are installed around the car.

Will the new Tesla Roaster be able to fly?

The vehicle will revolutionize the automotive market with acceleration figures from 0 to 96 km/h in less than a second, the CEO of the car manufacturer has promised.

When The Don Lemon Show interviewer asked if the car could fly, Musk looked away in a nervous tone and then assured that he did not rule it out, Car Scoops reported. But the car will not have large wings that could hinder its handling on the road, he has clarified.

The Tesla Roadster was first presented to the public in 2017 and the brand claimed that it was the fastest electric car in the world with more than 400 km/h maximum speed. The Roadster also has enviable autonomy figures with 1,000 kilometers, according to the Tesla website.

The second generation has been postponed several times. Now it seems that Tesla has definitively started working on the new model and the CEO has assured that the production version of the car will be revealed in 2025 along with all the technical details.
