The great green winged bird in the sky, the writhing serpents of Mars; Interesting pictures
NASA publishes a picture on their website called Astronomy Picture of the Day. It aims to bring to the masses the beautiful images captured by their devices around the world. Among the pictures released in this way, the picture of February 24 is noteworthy. It was a clear, green, phoenix-like structure flying in the sky over Iceland. It was a phenomenon known as the aurora. Auroras are phenomena seen in polar regions.

The Northern and Southern Lights are called depending on which pole they are at. They are formed when solar wind particles from the Sun interact with particles in Earth's atmosphere and magnetosphere. In 2016, the structure spread across the sky at around 3:30 am after a typical aurora. NASA informs that this lasted for only one minute.
Snakes on Mars

Strange light structures like snakes slithering across the sky have also recently been discovered on Mars. Emirates Mars Mission, launched by the UAE, discovered these remarkable scenes. This phenomenon, called the Sinus Discrete Aurora, is similar to the aurora borealis on Earth. Scientists say that such lights have not been found on any other planet.
Some of the auroras found on Mars were occurring throughout the planet's atmosphere. Some lights are only visible over certain areas of the planet. Scientists hypothesize that this may be due to the deposits of magnetic minerals in these areas. Different from all these are the newly discovered lights. This aurora is visible in about half of the sky around Mars. This light distribution was experienced in a zigzag pattern.
