Volvo has launched a discount campaign of 5,000 euros for one of its fashionable electric SUVs, which has a range of up to 476 kilometers and develops a power of 272 HP. Do you know which one it is? For sure yes.
We are talking about the Volvo EX30, the most affordable model in the Swedish manufacturer's catalog. And now, to make it more affordable, it includes an additional discount of 5,000 euros for the Single Motor Extended Range version. We tell you.
Volvo 5,000 euro discount campaign
As reported by Volvo Spain, it is the version with the greatest autonomy of the EX30 (up to 476 kilometers, as well as developing 272 HP and it is a rear-wheel drive. It is currently available from 42,034 euros, without applying the discount for the 5,000.
To be able to opt for such a discount, customers must request brand financing with the Premium Edition Volvo Option program. In other words, it means that the EX30 in the Single Motor Extended Range version costs 300 euros more than the access version, with the same power and 344 km of autonomy.
However, it is true that Volvo has also announced a smaller discount (it is not known how much) for the access version, the Single Motor. If we add the aid from the MOVES III Plan to the current rates, as well as the benefit provided by Volvo, the car would be around 35,000 euros.
This is what makes it one of the most affordable premium electric SUVs on the market in relation to its price-quality ratio. For its part, the range is completed with the Twin Motor version, available from 48,995 euros (without applying aid or discounts).
EX30, Volvo's most affordable electric
The Volvo EX30 arrived on the Spanish market a few months ago to join the X SUV segment. It measures 4.23 meters long, 1.84 meters wide and 1.56 meters high, as well as a height of 2.65 meters.
For its part, it has a clean bodywork, as well as unmistakable features, such as the headlights in the shape of Thor's hammer. Likewise, it has a roof that falls gently, and a rear window of a contained size.
Inside, the main surprise is that the instrument panel is dispensed with to give all the prominence to the 12.3-inch vertical central screen. The multimedia system is based on Android and Apple CarPlay is supported wirelessly.
Regarding its engines, the EX30 includes three options, with only the top version having all-wheel drive:
The access version is the Single Motor. It uses a 272 HP (200 kW) and 343 Nm motor, has rear-wheel drive and has a 49 kWh battery. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds, and its top speed is 180 km/h and has a range of 344 km. It is followed by the Single Motor Extended Range, which maintains power, rear-wheel drive format and top speed; but it uses a 64 kWh battery, approves a range of 480 km and reduces acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h to 5.3 seconds. The top of the range is the Twin Motor Performance with all-wheel drive, two motors that deliver 428 HP and 543 Nm, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds. It also has a large battery, but given its greater performance, the autonomy suffers slightly up to 460 km. It is the version with the highest DC charging capacity: up to 153 kW.
One of its great novelties is that Volvo announced that, during 2024, it would add a variant called Cross Country, which would receive a more rural design, with additions to perform off the asphalt, such as all-terrain tires, greater headroom to the ground, or reinforcements in the bumper protections.
For its part, it is worth noting that Volvo has added a new offer applicable to the Volvo CX60, which incorporates a 350 HP T6 PHEV plug-in hybrid mechanics, as well as benefits from the DGT's Zero label.
And, until the end of March, the new Volvo If you want to benefit from such a promotion, you must finance a minimum amount of 35,000 euros with a stay of no less than 36 months.
