Czech automaker Skoda's premium sedan model Superb was one vehicle that was lost on Indian roads with the implementation of the second phase of BS6. However, the manufacturer Skoda is on the move to bring this vehicle back on the roads with more power than before. According to reports, the new model of the Superb will be launched in India on April 3rd.
It is estimated that Skoda India's flagship sedan model, the Superb, will be completely manufactured abroad and will arrive in India through import. It is indicated that 100 units of this vehicle, which is expected to cost around 50 lakh rupees, will reach India in the first phase. Skoda will also reveal the number of Superb units allocated for India during the launch.
The Superb is expected to arrive in only one engine option per variant. The Superb will be powered by a 2.0 liter TSI turbo petrol engine. It makes 187 bhp of power and 320 Nm of torque. The transmission in this vehicle will be a seven-speed DSG automatic. With a top speed of 239 kmph, this vehicle will reach 100 kmph in 7.7 seconds.
The Laurin and Clement (L&K) variant, which is the top variant of Skoda vehicles, will arrive in India. Being a high-end version, this vehicle will be feature-rich. Adaptive LED LED headlamps with cornering function. The exterior will be styled with foglamps etc. The Superb will also get 17-inch Stratos alloy wheels.
The Skoda Superb has a feature-rich interior. The interior features include Columbus infotainment system with wired Smart Link system, 12-way electrically adjustable and ventilated front seats, massage driver's seat, 11-speaker music system, digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control and wireless charging.
