Porsche Taycan Turbo GT: Electric Supercar Unleashed

Porsche Taycan Turbo GT

The highest performance version created by Porsche in its electric car arrives. We are talking about a sedan that offers up to 1,108 horsepower and 1,340 Nm of maximum torque.

This is the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT, and it's electric performance taken to the max. Not too long ago the brand presented the new edition of the Taycan, the electric sedan that was renewed to continue in the fight. Now they present the sportiest and most powerful of all, the Turbo GT.

The restyling of the Taycan left us with redesigned headlights, with matrix LED technology and a four-point light signature. The rear lights displayed Porsche letters with a very striking three-dimensional effect, in addition to new alloy wheels of a new design, with a range of colors for the renewed bodywork.

The model was presented with the same measurements, both in the sedan body and in the rest. The interior featured an optimized user interface as well as additional functions, affecting the instrument panel, the central screen of the infotainment system and the optional screen located on the dashboard in the passenger area.

After all this comes the highest performance version created by Porsche in its electric car. We are talking about a sedan that offers up to 1,108 horsepower and 1,340 Nm of maximum torque, more than 1,000 HP and 1,000 Nm! Without a doubt, a complete madness that puts Tesla in trouble.

And we are talking about the response to the Tesla Model S Plaid, the same ones that also broke the 1,000 horsepower barrier not too long ago. Porsche wanted to maintain its leadership within the high-performance car segment, and did not want to give an inch.

In this way, this electric vehicle reaches a top speed of 305 km/h and takes just 2.2 seconds to complete 0-100 km/h. The autonomy remains at about 555 kilometers, not bad to offer these performance figures. Of course, figures from the version with Weissach package.

The Porsche Taycan Turbo GT with this pack is configured as a two-seater to reduce about 70 kg of weight. It is exhibited with the fixed rear spoiler, since without this finish it maintains a mobile spoiler. Some weight differences in the most sporty plane that ensure the greatest performance.

And to demonstrate the potential of this car, Porsche has shattered the previous Nürburgring record by no less than 26 seconds with its Taycan. With this new lap he leaves the time at 7:07.55, although he has not only done this lap.

The brand has also taken its team to Laguna Seca. There, Lars Kern made a first attempt to leave a time on the track of 1:28.28, but it was not enough. With Attack Mode he tried again, leaving the final record at 1:27.87. Holy madness!

This mode is an overboost that for 10 seconds allows the driver to have 50 kW, almost 70 HP, of additional power. Everything to exceed 1,100 horsepower during that time. By the way, the starting price in Spain for the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT is no less than 248,685 euros.
