Microsoft's artificial intelligence division has a new leadership. Mustafa Suleiman, co-founder of DeepMind AI, a company recently acquired by Google, will now oversee the production and research of Microsoft's consumer AI products.
Welcoming Mustafa Sulaiman to the company, founding CEO Satya Nadella said at X: “Welcome to Microsoft, and we're excited to have you lead Microsoft AI as we develop consumer AI like Co-Pilot that will benefit the world.”
Sulaiman, who worked at DeepMind until 2022, later joined Inflection AI, a machine learning-generative AI company. Earlier, Satya Nadalla had also roped in some of Sulaiman's other former business partners in the company. Meanwhile, Sulaiman clarified that Inflection will continue to collaborate with A.I.
Mustafa Sulaiman is a drop out of the prestigious Mansfield College in Oxford. Mustafa's father was a Syrian taxi driver. Mother is an English nurse. Mustafa, who showed interest in coding since his school days, later started DeepMind with the collaboration of his friends and became a recognized name in the field.
