The French carmaker Citroen has announced a vehicle to fight the curve even before the presentation of this vehicle, which is prepared with electric-ice engine powers. Citroën is preparing a coupe SUV called Basalt. The makers have informed that it will be screened on March 27.
The previous announcements were that this vehicle will arrive under the name of Citroen C3X. There were also rumors that it will arrive as a crossover model. However, the Citroën Basalt vehicle has been announced by clarifying these issues. Citroën's CMP The makers have informed that Basalt will be ready based on the platform. This model will be available in the market soon.
Mid-size SUV The Basalt will be placed above the model C3 Aircross. The vehicle is expected to have more features and styling than the C3 Aircross. The Basalt will be a four-door SUV with a coupe body style. A sloping roofline and stylish LED lighting. Citroën has also shared a teaser that reveals the taillamps etc.
The Basalt will share a few features with the C3 Aircross, apart from making a big difference in design. The main ones will be the body panels and the powertrain. All the Citroen models that have arrived in India so far have been designed with the same face. This will be followed by Basalt as well but more chrome plating will be added to give it a premium look. Details about the features will be revealed during the presentation.
The engine will also be borrowed from the C3 Aircross. The Basalt will be powered by a 1.2 liter turbo charged petrol engine. It produces 110 bhp. Power is 189 Nm. torque will also be produced. Automatic-manual transmission options will also be offered with this engine. Apart from the basic safety features, some advanced safety systems may also be offered in this vehicle.
