Just months before Tata's Curve will hit the market, French automaker Citroen has unveiled a new vehicle for the same range. Coupe SUV Citroen has introduced a vehicle called Basalt in the range. Citroën is preparing this coupe SUV as a global model. The makers have announced that it will be launched in India and South America in the second quarter of 2024.
The Basalt will be the fourth model to be launched as part of the C-Cubed program announced by Citroen. The first three models are C3, EC3 and C3 Aircross. As of now, Citroen has only revealed the body style and exterior design of the Basalt. It is hinted that the interior design and features of the vehicle will be released closer to the presentation.
Citroën plans to manufacture this vehicle in India and export it to foreign countries, based on Stellantis's Common Modular Platform (CMP). The front end of the Basalt is designed in line with the C3 Aircross. Citroën Signature Grille, LED DRL, projection headlamp. At the front, the bumper is adorned with a faux skid plate.
The Basalt comes with alloy wheels finished in black finish. The wheel arch with this vehicle is SUV. Pretend. The sloping roofline makes this vehicle attractive in side views. The rear profile gives the Basalt a luxurious look. The rear is adorned with LED taillights, a black Citroën logo and a bumper with skid plates.
4300 mm This long car will share mechanical systems with the Citroen C3 Aircross. The Basalt will be powered by a 1.2 liter turbo charged petrol engine. It produces 110 bhp. Power is 189 Nm. torque will also be produced. Automatic-manual transmission options will also be offered with this engine. Apart from the basic safety features, some advanced safety systems may also be offered in this vehicle.
