‘will respond strongly to attacks’; The US has not ruled out the possibility of attacking Iran

Washington: US National Security Adviser Jack Sullivan did not rule out the possibility of attacking Iran in the current situation in the Middle East.

In an interview with NBC, Sullivan was asked whether the US intends to continue attacking Iran.

“I am not going to sit on a national news program today and go into what is excluded and what is considered as part of military action.

All I can say is that our President is determined to respond strongly to the attacks on our people. “The president does not intend to have a major war in the Middle East,” Sullivan said.

Sullivan declined to elaborate on the question.

The US has struck 85 targets in Syria and Iraq. The US says the attack was in response to a drone attack on its base in Jordan that killed three soldiers.

The next day, the US and Britain attacked Houthi centers in Yemen.

Iran blamed the attacks on US and UK claims that they did not want to escalate the war in the Middle East.
