Deepfake audio-videos using artificial intelligence is creating a big problem all over the world. South Indian superstar Rashmika Mandana's deepfake video has become a big news on the internet. The police caught the criminal who did that. Such AI-made fake videos are mainly spread through social media.

Now WhatsApp has come up with a plan to prevent fake campaigns. WhatsApp is preparing a helpline service to deal with deep fakes.

WhatsApp's move is in collaboration with Miss Information Compact Alliance (MCA). This is also at a time when the country is entering general elections. The service will be available from March. Users in the country can access this helpline through WhatsApp chatbot.

The helpline will help you report deepfakes directly through WhatsApp. When such suspicious videos are reported, MCA's 'Deepfake Analysis Unit' will check the video and issue a warning.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp has not released more information about the chatbot/helpline. This service is available in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and other languages in the country. It will be extended to other regional languages including India in future.
