Retaliation Warning: Yemen Threatens Action Against US-UK Forces

Yemen Retaliation

There will be no turning back and no knee-jerk support for Palestine; Yemen says it will retaliate against US-UK forces

Sana’a: The Yemeni army warned the joint forces of America and Britain. Yemen has warned that the forces of both countries will not return to the country without retribution for their support for the Palestinians.

Yemeni army spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Zari said US-UK forces carried out 48 airstrikes in Yemen’s Sana’a, Hudeidah, Sa’ada, Al Baida, Taiz and Lahij provinces.

“We will not respond to the raids of the aggressors. Yahya Zari added, “Yemen will not back down from supporting the Palestinians in the face of Zionist occupation and crimes.”

International media reported that the United States and Britain carried out airstrikes in Yemen with the support of Australia, Bahrain, Canada, Denmark, the Netherlands, and New Zealand.

At the same time, the US Central Command issued a statement saying that the airstrikes targeted Yemen’s underground storage facilities, command and control, missile systems, UAV storage, operation sites, radars and helicopters.

US Central Command also stated that the intention behind the attack was to destroy Yemen’s ability to carry out pro-Palestinian operations.

U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said that the U.S. and the U.K. have conducted 36 airstrikes in 13 locations in Yemen. The US claims that the attack on Yemen reflects the international consensus.

Austin said the massive military action would send a clear message to the Houthis that there would be further consequences if they did not end attacks on international shipping.
