South Korean tech giant Samsung will manufacture its latest premium smartphone Galaxy S24 and laptop in India. President TM Roh said Samsung plans to start manufacturing laptops at its Noida factory in India this year. He also informed that the preparations for the same have already started.
Underlining the importance of India as a production base, he described the factory in Noida as Samsung’s second largest plant globally. The Noida plant, which manufactures feature phones, smartphones, wearables and tablets, will also start manufacturing laptops this year. The Samsung president said the company will work with governments to strengthen the Indian manufacturing sector.
Roh said the company will also manufacture its latest flagship phone in Noida. He said that Noida is a very important production base for Samsung. This is Samsung’s second largest base. There may be some changes to optimize the plant according to global demand, but what remains unchanged is that it is an important foundation for us. – he added.
