The Ioniq 5 combines the electrified global modular platform, the E-GMP of the standard model that we all know, with the competition technologies of N, the firm that develops Hyundai's sportiest models. They have managed to maximize the high-performance capabilities of the electric vehicle.
According to the brand, they guarantee that it meets the three pillars of N performance: “curve eater”, “circuit capability” and “everyday sports car”. All being the first Hyundai tourism with up to 650 horsepower and more than 700 Nm of torque. Its most powerful model to date.
In addition, it has the best acceleration and recoveries of all models produced to date. And it is powered by an 84 kWh battery, which powers two electric motors. A set that will make anyone who can get behind the wheel enjoy.
In the front engine we have to highlight that it develops 226 HP, and in the rear we have 383 HP. The power of the system reaches 609 HP, which rises to 650 HP with the 'boost' function. The set can develop up to 770 Nm of torque. A real madness.
With these numbers we are left with 0-100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and a maximum speed of 258 km/h. The electric car allows recharging up to a maximum power of 350 kW, so the car can go from 10 to 80% charge in 18 minutes.
And with all this, what is the price? The brand announces a starting price for the first electric N of 78,000 euros. We are talking about a price that is not contained, but taking into account the capabilities of the car we can understand why it is in this high range.
