As a child, Shruti used to joke that no matter which American did the tying, the wedding would be done in a turban. That tongue became ‘dollar’. The American himself came as a check. The wedding between Dr. Shruti and American Dr. Nick took place last day at Dharmeeswaram Shiva Temple known as Mundoor Thevarodam. The wedding between Dr. Shruti, daughter of Kottayam native Dr. Muralidharan and Mundur native Dr. Anitha, and Dr. Nick, son of US Tom Deslauriers and Cheryl, was celebrated with a song festival, Tiruvathirakali, Haldi and dancing.
