Mitsubishi Set to Reenter Indian Auto Market

Japanese car company Mitsubishi TVS Coming back to the Indian auto market in association with Mobility. TVS Mitsubishi has decided to spin off the car sales arm of Mobility as a separate company and take over 30 percent stake in it. According to Nikkei Asia’s report, it is considering entering the Indian market in the first half of this year.

TVS is the leading company in the marketing of Honda cars in India. Mobility. It is indicated that Rs 250 to 500 crores will be invested in the Indian market if approved. It is reported that both the companies aim to become the largest independent car dealership in the country by leveraging TVS Mobility’s 150 outlets currently operating in various regions of India.

TVS It is believed that Mistubishi is partnering with TVS to expand the networks of other Japanese car brands in India, like the Honda Cars dealerships overseen by Mobility. A final decision on the investment will pave the way for the Japanese automaker to bring more models to the Indian auto market and streamline operations.

Apart from the collaboration with TVS, Mistubishi also aims to enter the electric vehicle range in India. According to reports, Mistubishi also plans to start an electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu with an investment of 231.1 million dollars. Mistubishi had earlier informed that if this project is implemented, there will be a situation to provide employment to around 2000 people.

India is the third largest automobile market in the world. However, leaving Suzuki aside, other Japanese automakers have not been able to make enough of an impact here. Keeping this in mind, Mistubishi is taking the initiative to bring vehicles of various companies to India. Mitsubishi will deliver vehicles ranging from cars to trucks in India.
