Popular MPV in India The third version of the model Innova hit the streets under the name Hicross. Innova, Innova Crysta and Innova Hicross, the latest model in the line-up, Hicross has also achieved a new achievement in sales. Toyota has informed that it has been able to deliver 50,000 Hicross MPVs on the roads in the last one year.
The Toyota Innova Hicross was launched in November 2022. It is estimated that the sale of half a lakh units was completed in just 14 months. The Innova Hicross is a vehicle based on Toyota's Global Architecture (TNGA). Hybrid technology, connected features, and good looks are all factors that have boosted the popularity of the Hicross.
The petrol models come in three variants namely G, GX and GX(O). It is priced between Rs 19.77 lakh and Rs 20.17 lakh ex-showroom. Hybrid models are also available in four variants. These are VX, VX Optional, ZX and ZX Optional. The hybrid versions are priced between Rs 25.72 lakh and Rs 30.68 lakh ex-showroom.
The hybrid model is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine based on the Toyota New Global Architecture with a self-charging strong hybrid electric system. It makes 186 p.s. Power is 206 Nm. Torque will also be provided. The transmission is E-Drive with sequential shift. This model delivers the highest fuel efficiency in the segment at 21.1 kmpl.
TNGA 2.0-litre four-cylinder VVTi The regular version of the Hicross is powered by a petrol engine. 174 PS in 1987 cc. Power is 205 Nm. Torque is the strength of the regular model. CVT The transmission is provided by the gearbox. The hybrid model is only offered with an automatic gearbox. The fuel efficiency of this vehicle is guaranteed to be 16.13 kmpl.
