Dubai: India to set up Bharat Mart facility in UAE for exporters to sell their diverse products under one roof. Although the project has not been finalised, the authorities aim to implement the project by 2025. It is reported that China’s Dragon Mart project will be similar.
Bharat Mart will be established in Jafsa area managed by DP World. The project will have an area of more than one lakh square meters. The mart will have retail showrooms, warehouses and other ancillary facilities. Also, there are plans to set up a digital platform for online shopping.
The Bharat Mart project is of great importance as the UAE and India target $100 billion in non-petroleum trade by 2030 through a financial agreement. Prime Minister Modi, who arrived in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, held talks with the UAE President. There are reports that the two leaders reviewed the bilateral partnership and discussed new areas of cooperation.
