Generative AI

CEO Tim Cook has come with good news for Apple fans. Apple is finally going to unleash its own generative AI that has been in the news for the past few months. There have been talks in the tech world about OpenAI, Google and Microsoft competing with each other in the field of AI, and only Apple lagging behind in this field. Tim Cook comes with the answer.

During the company’s quarterly earnings report, Tim Cook himself made a rare revelation about Apple’s investment in artificial intelligence. He said the company is working on “generative AI” features that will be available to customers later this year.

Leaks about the iOS 18 version have been going viral on the internet for a few days now. Tim Cook’s new statements reinforce speculation that iOS 18 will be the biggest update in Apple’s history. The news coming out is that iOS 18 will make maximum use of the possibilities of artificial intelligence. Just as Samsung outfitted its Galaxy S24 series with Galaxy A.I., Apple plans to take its upcoming iPhones a notch higher.

It is also reported that Apple is working on its own Large Language Model (LLM) called Ajax. Similarly, Apple’s voice assistant Siri is also planned to be made smarter with AI. Siri 2.0 is claimed to surprise everyone with its generative AI support.

AI-based features may also be introduced in iMessage and music apps. AI updates will also come to the Pages and Keynote apps. Apple plans to introduce Rich Communication Services in iOS 18. More information regarding this may be revealed at the Apple Developer Conference.
