Ramallah: The number of Palestinians killed in Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza is rising sharply. The Gaza Health Ministry said 118 people were killed and 190 injured in the past 24 hours. With this, the death toll crossed 27,000 and the number of injured reached 66,139.
Meanwhile, the United States has attacked Houthi centers in Yemen. The US military explained that 10 drones and a military base were attacked. The Houthis also attacked a ship on Thursday. The Italian defense minister said the disruption of cargo through the Red Sea was destabilizing its economy.
In another incident, a federal court judge asked US President Joe Biden to review his unconditional support for Israel. The proposal came after the denial of a lawsuit filed by the Biden administration to end aid to Israel. The court rejected the request to cancel the aid on the ground that issues related to foreign policy have to be decided politically and the court cannot interfere.
Hamas announced that it is considering the ceasefire resolution prepared last day with the help of the countries of Qatar and Egypt under the auspices of the US. Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh is coming to Cairo for further talks. The two-month ceasefire agreement stipulates the release of prisoners instead of hostages.
