End Israeli settlers’ atrocities in Gaza; Violence cannot be justified: France’s foreign minister
Paris: French Foreign Minister Stéphane Sejourne is in the field against the Israeli settlers in Gaza. International media reported that Stephan Sejorn said that the atrocities committed by Israeli settlers in Palestine should be stopped immediately. The French minister’s remarks came after a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Stefan Sejorn also called for a ceasefire in the Palestinian city of Jerusalem. Stefan Sejorn said that the world nations should intervene in the Israeli-Palestinian issue so that there are no more problems caused by Israeli settlers in the West Bank.
He also asked them to refrain from actions, decisions and statements that could lead to violence. Sejorn also pointed out that there are constant violent statements by Israeli leaders.
Stefan Sejorn also emphasized that Israeli immigration to Palestine must be stopped. He also clarified that the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank is not possible under any circumstances.
Sejorn said that withholding emergency aid to the Palestinians cannot be justified.
Two Israelis, including a 17-year-old, were arrested for spitting on a Christian priest in Jerusalem on Monday. In a video circulating on social media, Nicodemus Schnabel, a priest from Jerusalem’s Old City, is seen being spat on and abused by two men.
The two men were released after a preliminary investigation and placed under house arrest, Israeli daily Haaretz reported.
Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir said last year that spitting on Christians is an ancient Jewish tradition and there is no need to arrest them in such incidents.
