Kinetic Green has announced the electric price of the old popular vehicle Luna. Available in two models, the X1 variant of the Luna is priced at Rs 69,990 and the X2 variant is priced at Rs 74,990 ex-showroom Delhi. The Luna is available in 1.7 kWh, 2 kWh and 3 kWh battery packs. The range is 110 km for the first two battery packs and 150 km for the second battery pack. Kinetic says the electric Luna will cost just 10 paise to travel a kilometer.
The company has started accepting pre-booking of the vehicle through these commission sites like Amazon and Flipkart. Kinetic claims that the E Luna is a two-wheeler with an emphasis on practicality and efficiency, just like the Luna of yesteryear. The only difference is that the electric model has no pedals. Luna can jump up to 150 kg. Top speed is 50 kmph.
The rear seats are removable when needed. This also makes the e Luna easily a two-wheeled ‘cargo’ vehicle. Total weight is only 96 kg. With a seat height of only 760mm, this small vehicle will be very easy to handle.
Despite its childlike appearance, the Luna was capable of powerful tasks that many other two-wheelers could not even dream of. Therefore, it is expected that E Luna will also be the vehicle of choice for rural areas. Although the focus is on performance more than anything else, the E Luna has many modern amenities. With features like a simple LCD dash, USB charging pot and side stand cut off, the E Luna is available in Mulberry Red and Ocean Blue colors.
Electric Luna
Equipped with drum brakes on both the wheels, the E Luna has a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers. The 16-inch wheels have thinner tires than any other two-wheeler in general. The E Luna is powered by a hub motor attached to the wheel. Maximum torque is 22Nm. The 2kWh battery can be fully charged in four hours. A portable charger is also available for the E Luna. E-Luna can be booked by paying Rs.500.
