Virgin Atlantic Flight to NYC Canceled Over Wing Screw Concerns

London: A Virgin Atlantic flight from Manchester to New York was canceled minutes before take-off. The flight was canceled at the last minute after a passenger complained that one of the wings of the plane was missing screws.

British passenger Phil Hardy discovered that one of VS127’s wings was missing screws. Phil Hardy responded that he was a good passenger and immediately informed the flight crew about the missing screw. He added that as soon as his partner came to know about it, he panicked.

A Virgin Atlantic spokeswoman told Fox News that the flight was canceled for further inspections. The company also stated that engineers will be given more time to complete the tests on the aircraft.

Four of the 119 screws on the plane’s wings were missing. Virgin Atlantic and Airbus, the manufacturer of the aircraft, responded that there was no threat to the safety of passengers due to this. The company also said that missing four of the 119 screws will not affect the safety of the aircraft.

They attach great importance to the safety of passengers and staff. A representative of Virgin Atlantic said that they are operating the service in compliance with all safety standards. Meanwhile, the passengers on board were sent to New York on other flights.
