What kind of tests have you faced? As usual, the electric car has been subjected to frontal impact, side impact and pedestrian tests, in addition to evaluating its different active safety systems. The BYD electric car has been examined based on equipment with, among others, car-to-car emergency braking, occupant status monitoring and lane assist technologies.
A series of tests have also been carried out with pedestrians with different “impactors”: adult and child head shape, leg shape and upper leg. As well as the AEB pedestrian and cyclist tests. A test scenario for cyclist gate prevention was introduced in 2023.
Active safety is classified based on the performance of the car’s equipment: car-to-car and car-to-motorcycle autonomous emergency braking scenarios, occupant status monitoring (including seat belt reminders, fatigue, distraction and impairment) , lane assist and speed assist technologies.
