Tata Curve SUV

The Tata Curve Concept also gets a 1.5 liter diesel engine model. The electric version will be launched later this year and the turbo petrol and diesel engine versions will be launched early next year. The Curve will be powered by the 115bhp, 260 unit 1.5-litre diesel engine used in the Nexon.

The Curve’s ICE will be one of the petrol engines introduced by Tata at the Auto Expo 2023. One possibility is the 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that churns out 123bhp of power and 225Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox. Another option is the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine that churns out 168bhp of power and 280Nm of peak torque.

The Curve’s EV will hit the roads in the second half of this year. The Curve will have the same powertrain as the Nexon EV. The vehicle is capable of churning out 143 bhp of power and a maximum torque of 215 Nm. Coming on the new Acti.EV platform, the Curve EV will have a range of 400 km to 500 km.

The Tata Curve’s main competitors will be SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Skoda Kushak. The main competition for the Curve EV will come from the MG CS EV and the Hyundai Kona Electric.
